I wanted to let you know that Chris (Wootten), Dan (Groustra) and Blaine (Hemphill) were all so great as pilots. The first time mom and I took a ride, mom and I went with Chris. Yesterday Mom and I, plus my friend Shelley Baker from CO Springs, went with Dan and Blaine. We all had such a great time. So far all the guys we have gone with were such pleasant individuals, and very considerate. I could not have asked for anything more.
Thank you so much for this service. It's such a blessing to be able to get out and see the beauty at Hudson Gardens and along the Platte River.
I just wanted to be sure you knew what great guys you have on your team. We so appreciate the "Wind In Our Hair."
Sincerely and Gratefully, Carol Rodriguez
My friend, Honor, and I enjoyed a fabulous ride along the Platte River with Mike. Everything about the Trishaw experience was excellent--from making the reservation, receiving the confirmation, Mike's call and timely pick-up at Hudson Gardens, Mike sharing info as we rode along enjoying the beautiful scenery, etc. etc., etc.!!! Thanks for all you do to make this an outstanding adventure for all! Enjoy a wonderful summer providing Trishaw rides! - Julie
Many thanks for the trishaw experience. Regina and Janet loved it. Dan was so warm and personable. Very attentive to their needs and so knowledgeable about the area.
Thank you for offering this experience! Highly recommend.
Thanks so much for having us be so featured in this great newsletter, it is certainly much more than we deserve. We do so love the CWAL volunteers and the amazingly wonderful things you do for the folks of the generation that has more needs then just about anyone realizes. Getting old and having to give up all the activities that were so apart of our life and not being a part of doing the things that we so wish we could do is not a very easy time of life.
It seems strange to me that so few people even think that these things and loneliness and the treatment that they receive as being out of touch and unknowing and somewhat of a useless person, make for some pretty unhappy times. But then comes along a very "God chosen" people like Barb Lotze and the CWAL volunteers who devote their time AND talents to providing so much joy and unselfishness where it surely is needed and appreciated. I believe everyone that knows you sees how deeply you do care for these folks and you never rush by ( where ever you are} to talk to us and to make us feel like normal people. Please know the amazing things you do and how much you are loved and appreciated.

Christine from Wheat Ridge Parks & Rec: "What a great experience our seniors and our twenty-something volunteer trip driver had yesterday with pilots Melissa, Blaine, and Reed. They enjoyed the ride through Hudson Gardens and ‘the countryside,’ as one patron called it. They felt secure and very welcome. The pilots are so friendly and clearly enjoy older people. Melissa shared a great photo of the group and I passed it along to our patrons.
In short, they want to do it again!
Thanks so much for being so organized and easy to work with."
"Just want to tell you how very much I enjoyed the Trishaw trip and honestly, my friends were just blown away with the pleasure of it. Also, I coaxed my neighbor into riding with me--she never would have if she'd had time to think about it, and she really loved it. So, truly it was such a fun, lovely time. Thank you for caring and giving me the extra chance to experience it. Also, our drivers were absolutely GREAT!! Please let them know how much they were appreciated."

She couldn't believe he actually got in the trishaw and then at the end of his ride he flicked his hair back as though he was looking in the mirror as though wind was blowing through his hair. Kristen said, "He got it!!" This was such a beautiful moment for both of them. They will be taking more rides. She is so grateful for the experience." -Barb
"I spend so much time in my room. For a while you can find things to do -- puzzles, playing on the computer, Bible study -- but it’s hard. We’re all feeling that loneliness. But when I’m out on the trishaw, I feel like I’m queen for a day. It’s been such a blessing.” -Bonnie
